Assistant Brand Manager

SHS is looking for a smart, organized, client-loving Assistant Brand Manager in Kansas City, Mo. This person is extremely detail-oriented and ready to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to remain calm in the face of chaos and dig multitasking. You’re collaborative. You soak up knowledge like a sponge. You’re impeccable. And you do, in fact, give a damn.

This is a key position on the team, supporting client work in a responsive, efficient and accurate manner.

This position will help support multiple clients for the team under the supervision of the Brand Manager, and progressively assume the lead function for assigned projects from both a tactical and strategic perspective.

Relationship

  • Collaborate with Brand Managers to manage client expectations
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on production timelines and ad materials
  • Develop relationships with clients by serving as their primary contact for day-to-day concerns
  • Ensure all appropriate agency functions are included in client work (e.g., brand strategy, digital, research)
  • Share client feedback and utilize all pertinent agency functions to develop solutions to feedback

Strategy

  • Possess knowledge and understanding of clients’ brand voice and product lines
  • Understand the industry competitive environment, including advertising campaigns of competitors
  • Review work based on proper product mentions, client mandatories, production specs, legal requirements or other details

Execution

  • Schedule internal and client meetings
  • Update client status reports
  • Prepare materials and meeting space for internal and client meetings
  • Coordinate project details with clients
  • Follow up with client as directed
  • Summarize client collaboration and input in CSRs
  • Summarize client input in change notes
  • Develop expectations briefs with Brand Managers
  • Gather pertinent product spec (or other) information

Talents, Skill and Knowledge

  • 2-3 years of agency experience or relevant work experience
  • Collaborative spirit when working with client and internal teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Proven attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate and motivate project teams to meet commitments
