Project Manager

Our Kansas City office is looking for an experienced Project Manager to add to the team!

You will be expected to have the right people in the right place at the right time to allow the agency to produce great creative work – on time, on budget and as efficiently as possible. The right person will flourish in a fast-paced environment and love challenging deadlines.


  • Be the communications hub between all agency team members and agency partners that may touch an assigned account/project
  • Respond appropriately to client feedback
  • Ensure that proper forecasting is being done for all projects on assigned account/s
  • Manage and be accountable for each step of the creative development process
  • Proactively guide projects through the internal system
  • Manage schedules and budgets
  • Manage and plan creative resources
  • Engage in contingency planning and recommend solutions
  • Alert team if a project strays out of the originally set parameters
  • Negotiate/Communicate with the creative, account management and production team members every step of the way
  • Keep detailed records of the life of a project and share information as necessary
  • Ensure that agreed-upon agency workflow is followed
  • Keep key constituents aware of progress on each project and raise any concerns as quickly as possible


  • Attend and potentially lead all necessary status meetings weekly
  • Create and manage all timing plans
  • Work with account management team to establish and manage all budgets
  • Work closely with creative to determine specifics for creative development on each project and facilitate movement from one step to the next
  • Set up and run all necessary key touch-point meetings in the process
  • Coordinate with any freelance or outside creative resources/vendors
  • Manage and enforce a rigorous approvals process
  • Coordinate with production staff throughout the creative development process – ensure that feasibility checks are being done
  • Manage a detailed and organized history of each project
  • Plan and coordinate wireframe development, website development, digital advertising campaigns and email automation


  • A minimum of 3+ years of project management experience – preferably from a traditional advertising agency setting
  • Basic understanding of print, digital, broadcast and events production
  • Skilled use of organizational tools and communication
  • Able to think strategically and tactically
  • A self-starter who is curious
  • Extremely detailed oriented and organized
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Cool, calm, collected and collaborative
