Senior Brand Manager – Animal Health

Job Description

The Senior Brand Manager is an expert when it comes to great client relationships. This person knows the client’s brands inside and out, and provides insight into the client’s business to other team members. The Senior Brand Manager serves as the primary client contact for specific issues and delegates to other team members as needed. The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for knowing the client’s business and educating the team on what makes them successful. This person is also responsible for managing both client and team profitability.

Relationship

  • Maintain client relationships on day-to-day levels
  • Collaborate with creative team members for design and thought leadership
  • Collaborate with project managers on production timelines and project details
  • Collaborate with brand strategists on project strategy development
  • Share client feedback and utilize all pertinent agency functions to develop solutions to feedback
  • Proactively bring solutions/thinking to the client’s business
  • Be a go-to agency partner for the client — a vital part of the team

Strategy

  • Possess superior knowledge and understanding of client’s products and messaging formats
  • Understand the industry competitive environment, including marketing programs of competitors
  • Strong strategic planning experience and confidence in leading those efforts

Execution

  • Communicate with the client and team in an efficient, effective and collaborative manner
  • Interact with the team and client to create the most unsheeplike work possible
  • Be the point person for questions on strategy, billing and any and all details important to the team and to the client
  • Review work based on proper product mentions, client mandatories, brand standards, production specs, legal requirements or other details

Requirements

  • Five to eight years of experience in account/brand management, preferably in an agency setting
  • Bachelor’s degree required; marketing preferred
  • Strong digital background
  • Supervisory and mentoring experience
  • Animal health and/or agricultural experience
  • Available for occasional travel
