Sullivan Higdon & Sink Promotes Long-Time Sheephaters

Recognizing their leadership for clients and colleagues, three long-time sheephaters have been promoted to vice president roles in Sullivan Higdon & Sink’s Kansas City office. Their experience – a combined 45 years with the agency – drives strategic, creative and client-focused initiatives across the agency.

The three promoted are:

  • Seth Gunderson, Vice President, Executive Creative Director, Kansas City
  • Jon Kowing, Vice President, Creative Director
  • Diane Young, Vice President, Account Management

Seth Gunderson, Vice President, Executive Creative Director, Kansas City –

Creatively curious and collaborative, Seth joined SHS in 2005 and has been instrumental in both winning new clients and maintaining relationships with current clients.

In his expanding role as vice president, executive creative director, he will help lead creative excellence for SHS Kansas City, shaping strategy and the creative product, ultimately helping great ideas become remarkable. Working closely with colleagues and our clients, they will create work that is recognized and envied on a local, regional and national level.

Jon Kowing, Vice President, Creative Director –

Passionately serving SHS clients for the past 28 years, the first 10 from the agency’s Wichita office and the past 18 in the Kansas City office, Jon’s coaching and leadership have helped build great careers and impeccable creative teams. In addition to leading creatives in strategy and execution for some of SHS’s largest clients, as vice president, creative director, he will be responsible for identifying and further expanding the talents of the SHS KC creative staff, encouraging them to pursue their passions and become the best version of themselves.

Diane Young, Vice President, Account Management –

Impeccable and demanding, Diane Young has been promoted to vice president, account management. Under her five years of leadership for SHS client SONIC®, America’s Drive-In®, she has established productive relationships and built a strong team that has led to agency growth. She brings extensive food marketing experience that supports the agency’s focus on serving clients from farm to table in its food value chain practice. In her new role, she also champions SHS FoodThink, the agency’s proprietary research platform aimed to inform food marketers with insights about how American consumers think about what they eat.

“What sets SHS apart is that we think differently about the challenges and opportunities clients face,” said Young. “I’ve had the privilege of leading a large team with many moving parts, including field team members in multiple locations. It’s been a thrill to see how we come together to roll out new branding, introduce complex menu designs and wrangle processes that help client work run more smoothly.”
