Sweet Partnership Forms to Reintroduce the World to an Extraordinary Box of Chocolates

Christopher Elbow Chocolates selects Sullivan Higdon & Sink as creative agency

Christopher Elbow Chocolates, a brand known for crafting gourmet, artisanal chocolates, has chosen Sullivan Higdon & Sink (SHS) as its creative partner. Christopher Elbow Chocolates will partner with SHS in order to continue to build its business through intentional marketing efforts. Christopher Elbow is focused on creating new and innovative chocolates through a combination of European-style craftsmanship with modern interpretations of flavors and designs.

“We are excited to partner with a brand that shares an obsessive passion to collaborate and innovate,” said John January, SHS co-chief executive officer. “Chris has some amazing things planned that will both reinvigorate and reinvent the business. We’re excited to help the Elbow team take the next step. Plus, you know, what’s not to love about partnering with a chocolatier?”

Christopher Elbow Chocolates operates storefronts in Kansas City and San Francisco, and is also sold by retailers in 14 states. Distribution through web traffic and corporate gifting also makes up a large share of sales. Every chocolate product is handcrafted and packaged in-house. While widely known for its colorfully painted bonbons, the complete product line expands beyond chocolate boxes to drinking chocolate, chocolate bars, nuts and sauces.

“From the first meeting, SHS understood that our brand is an experience in a package. That’s an important insight not only about our product but how we want to market,” said Christopher Elbow, chocolatier and owner. “We shared our hopes about where we can take the brand next and it was very clear SHS not only understood how to get us there but how to do so in a way that felt right for us. We’re excited about this partnership.”
