The Kansas City Film Festival may take place in the heart of the Country Club Plaza, but its reach stretches far beyond even the furthest reaches of the KC metro. So when it came to creating a new brand mark, they needed to capture both a local flair and something more universally synonymous with the art and emotion of le cinéma.

We created an iconic black-and-white mark that looks lovely as a single frame, but really comes to life when set in motion. It is simple. It is bold. It possesses the strength to play a leading role, yet is versatile enough to support the script notes-style lettering featured on posters and signage around the festival. And it is set to soak up the spotlight for years to come.
