SHS has recently added six new employees to its Wichita office.
SHS Adds Six New Sheephaters
SHS has recently added six new employees – Jill Howard, Landon Barton, Sarah Kelly Shannon, Jake Fisher, Jason Comerford and Kristin Smet. All are employed at the Wichita location.
Jill Howard joins SHS as a digital strategist and is responsible for providing strategic input on digital campaigns from online advertising, online customer relationship marketing, motion graphics and mobile technology. Howard will manage and contribute to projects from proposal through successful implementation involving digital strategy, website development, targeting, display, social media, SEO and email to meet communication objectives. Prior to joining SHS, she was a digital strategist at JVST in San Francisco. She has six years’ experience in the digital strategy field and received her bachelor of arts in business administration from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Landon Barton joins SHS as an art director and is responsible for design, concept development and art direction for a variety of clients. Prior to Barton becoming an art director, he was an art director at Greteman Group. He has worked at advertising agencies with an aviation focus area for more than five years and also more than five years of experience in the design industry, including corporate design, illustration and video and motion graphics. Barton holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Wichita State University.
Sarah Kelly Shannon joins SHS as a proofreader and is responsible for editing internal, client-facing and external documents for accuracy, spelling, grammar, clarity and style. Prior to joining SHS, Shannon served as a marketing communications specialist at Emprise Bank. She has five years of experience in copy editing, including sports copy editing, and online journalism and social media. Shannon earned a degree in journalism from the University of Kansas in 2010.
Jake Fisher joins SHS as director of photography and is responsible for editing and cinematography for the spectrum of SHS clients. Prior to joining SHS, Fisher was a freelance cinematographer, editor and colorist. He has seven years of experience in video production and specializes in cinematography, editing and color grading. He received a bachelor of arts degree in 2008 from Kansas State University.
Jason Comerford joins SHS as a senior copywriter and is responsible for creative and conceptual content ideation for clients as well as editorial assistance on various initiatives. Before joining SHS, Comerford was a copywriter for Showcase Marketing in Greenville, S.C. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Erwin-Penland Advertising, working for clients including Verizon, Lennar, Sears, BMW, Denny’s, The Greenville Drive, Fatz Cafe, Firehouse Subs, Uniroyal and ScanSource. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, with a BFA in screenwriting.
Kristin Smet joins SHS as a brand manager and is responsible for multiple accounts, including INTRUST Bank, collaborating with project managers, developing client relationships and working to understand the banking industry and competitive environment. She has 10 years of experience in marketing, banking and accounting. Before joining SHS, Smet was a financial analyst for Bombardier. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University in marketing and accounting and a master’s degree from Newman University.
